Excerpt from the book
All the patients had metastatic cancer that showed resistance to traditional chemotherapy. The metastases were seen in all areas of the body (stage 4), and they were non-responsive to chemotherapy with fotemustine and dacarbazine. For these patients it was decided to add a dietary supplement with artemisinin. After the start of artemisinin, the disease came under control and the metastases became smaller. For this category of patients their life expectancy is only 2-5 months but when adding artemisinin, the participants were still alive 47 months after completing the study. The survival rates and life expectancy are dramatic compared to the expected 2-5 months.      

About the author
Milena Penkowa is a neuroscientist, PhD and has a Master of Science in medicine from the University of Copenhagen. She founded the companies Hjerneeksperten and Milena’s Members’ Club, and she is the host of the Danish TV show Hjerneeksperten and Milena’s Brain Food. Milena gives lectures and courses – and she is the author of a series of books – the latest is about anxiety and how to fight anxiety by supplements (published in June 2025).
