The Fascist Painting is a serious, rich and deeply intelligent piece of work that will radically alter the way we view culture in schools and will be a key text for anyone designing a curriculum. The Ofsted Inspection Framework states that cultural capital is ''The essential knowledge that pupils need to be educated citizens'' and that schools ''should be introducing [students] to the best that has been thought and said and helping to engender an appreciation of human creativity and achievement''.
